April 28, 2020 -- New student body President Rija Khan and Vice President, Mackenzie Haas want to focus on diversity, inclusivity, mental health and campus transparency during their term. The paid hopes to create change by being authentic and advocate for the student body.

April 23, 2020 - Wichita State graduate Cindy Miller describes her job with Harley-Davidson as that of an internal consultant who works in all areas of the company. She provides design guidance and conducts testing to deliver ergonomic, usability and user experience performance.  “It’s important for a rider to feel comfortable, as well as confident,” she said.

April 16, 2020 - D.J. Gering, a 2017 Wichita State University graduate, is a public health analyst for the Reno County Health Department. He collects data for Reno County’s coronavirus dashboard.

April 16, 2020 -- While hospitals and doctors’ offices are seen as the battlegrounds against COVID-19, there’s another group of medical professionals who are also on the front line: home health care workers.

April 15, 2020 -- Hanna Bates-Crosby is currently a nursing student at Wichita State University. She recently volunteered to work in New York City as a nurse during the novel coronavirus pandemic.

April 15, 2020 -- Krista Giggy, a Wichita State University alumna and nurse anesthetist, volunteers for a team to treat critical COVID-19 patients at a New Hampshire hospital.

April 13, 2020 - Wichita State University and Kansas State University will launch a dual-degree program that will give students the opportunity to earn both a Bachelor of Science from the College of Health and Human Sciences at K-State and a Bachelor of Science in nursing from the College of Health Professions at WSU. This is the first and only program of its kind in Kansas.

March 25, 2020 -- The political science department at Wichita State University offers internships based in Topeka, Kansas and Washington D.C. which allows students the opportunity to work alongside legislators, representatives and congressmen. Wichita State students help with preparing bills and campaigns, managing finances and traveling around the state meeting prospective voters.

Feb. 27, 2020 - Wichita State graduate student Monica Connelly's research involves studying weapon detection by law enforcement officers using biological motion as a cue.

Feb. 27, 2020 -- Inneke Vargas, a senior studying psychology with a minor in criminal justice, returned to Wichita State University after working in various industries. She found psychology after realizing the stigmas found in minorities. Through her research she hopes to make an impact on those affected my mental illness.

Feb. 21, 2020 -- Wichita State University was one of more than 40 universities around the world that competed in a 48-hour global design competition called “Invent For The Planet.” Wichita State has participated as a regional hub in Invent For the Planet (IFTP) for the past three years.

Feb. 20, 2020 -- Brian Amos, assistant professor of political science at Wichita state, has dedicated numerous papers and conferences to gerrymandering research.

Jan. 31, 2020 -- Wichita State University has selected the 2020 recipients of the Harry Gore Memorial Scholarships. Each student will receive a $64,000 scholarship to attend Wichita State University in August 2020.

Jan. 23, 2020 - Wichita State graduate Marcus Wright used his applied learning experiences at the student newspaper and with the athletic department to start his career in digital media. After a season with MLB Advanced Media, he returned to Wichita State and works on photo and video for the athletic department.
